My Students

My students are my superheroes. They are intelligent and capable. They are unique, caring, and hilarious. Each day brings on a new adventure, and I love to watch them explore and grow.

My students all have special needs. They are in an inclusive classroom 100% of the time. I collaborate with another beautiful teacher and two amazing aides who help to bring out the best in these children.

My Project

Our school is officially certified in STEAM so I am always looking for new and exciting ways to expand their knowledge in each of the 5 categories. The engineering tools will help my students develop the skills needed to construct buildings and create new designs. The magnetic toys will cultivate their imagination as they use them to build new and exciting things. Having access to these types of toys is important to their growth as learners in the classroom and will enhance the lessons that I teach on a daily basis.

My students LOVE to dance!

We do have access to music on a school iPad, but my personal speaker broke about a month ago and I have not had the funds to replace it. We love to have dance parties on Friday afternoons, and I love to incorporate music and songs into my lessons every chance I get. Please consider donating to help me bring back the gift of music to my classroom.

In addition, we desperately need humidifiers for our classroom. The building is very old, and the current filtering system barely works. We have students who are asthmatic and have other health issues and setting up two humidifiers in our classroom will help clean out the air making it safer for the students to breathe.
