My Students

My students come in eager and excited to learn everyday. They are excited to see what story I will read them each day. Even though many of my students eat breakfast at school they are more worried about when we are getting our snack then what they are learning about.

All these materials will help students build and demonstrate the ability to problem solve in different situations.

My class is from 9 different ethnic groups. Right now I don't have the materials and copies just wear out. Kids need to have experiences with materials that I can use from year to year. We use a lot of paper and pencil to demonstrate their knowledge. Having all these great flannel sets would allow us to be more successful first graders and life-long learners and continue to build our English language. At our school, we are working together to achieve more. My students will continue to benefit from activities where we can be working together to achieve.

My Project

Each one of these items will be awesome for my students to get to use. First the soft spots will hopefully help my students who need a little more wiggle room buy giving them their own space to be on.

Building and creating to demonstrate there learning, my students will be able to process as higher level thinkers!

The Fairy Tales and Roller Coaster problem solving materials and cards will give the kids one way to use the materials and I am sure we will come up with several other ways to use all the materials as well. These resources will be able to supplement our math and science and expand our literacy lessons. With English language learners students it is so important for things to be connected and having real problem solving from the books will be such amazing connections for the kids.

The barrel comprises feathers, pom poms, chenille stems, wiggle eyes, buttons, dough cutters, modeling clay, glitter pens, craft sticks, sequins and spangles, pony beads, rainbow cord with glitter glue pens. All this great stuff will allow kids the to be creativity and make puppets to go with stories they have written or books that I read to them. With all these great materials I can't wait to see what amazing creations they will create.
