This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

A typical day in my classroom is a learning experience. At end of the school year, I want my children to develop their large-muscle skills and to become more refined. By providing tricycles, my students will enhance and develop their gross motor skills.

My children come from a low-income community in the city of Pacoima.

The center serves about 145 students who meet eligibility base on their family income status including 7 students who are enrolled in the Preschool Collaborate Classroom. I have 14 girls and 6 boys in my classroom.

My Project

By providing tricycles, my children will have the opportunity to role-play a favorite career, such as acting out that they are a police officer riding a bike. Also, children will continue building stronger large muscles coordination and movement that controls their body which allow children to improve during the year.

I currently have 20 students who enjoyed riding the tricycles, My class has 3 tricycles that were bought 8 years ago.

By providing these tricycles, it will facilitate the learning experience and benefit my children's gross motor skills.
