My Students

I teach kindergarten and my goal is always to make learning as fun as possible, whether through curriculum or play. My school is a Title I school that is located in a low income neighborhood where more than 90% of students receive free and reduced lunch. Keeping this in mind, I strive to provide the best learning opportunities as possible. I want my students to foster a love for learning, and in order for this to happen they need supplies to help them succeed. When my students are provided the correct materials the possibilities of learning and growth are endless.

My Project

The materials and supplies that I am requesting for my students already have a "home." I know exactly where everything will go and how it will be used within the classroom. We just need your help in getting everything through our door! The large storage bin will help keep all the morning work and extra language and math activities organised. This will be kept near my desk for easy access. The crayons, pencil boxes, glue, and other supplies will be used by the students, so that they may continue meeting standards in various content. The ink will be used for the classroom printer to help make activity stations. These stations will help students improve on skills that were previously taught in whole group instruction. The chart paper will be used to create anchor charts that reflect the discussions we have during our whole group instruction.

The donations to this project will help my students continue to improve on their work in class.

It will allow them to make vivid pictures and creations that aspire from their imagination bringing the content they've learned to life.
