My Project

One of the most important roles in a front ensemble is to help the band sound their best using creative cymbal combinations. In the marching band, ensemble suspended rolls create a blended sound that helps elevate the excitement leading to a "hit" or full ensemble passage. They also mask the attack and releases from the wind players, creating the illusion of a constant sound. Help us contribute as a percussion section to a mature ensemble sound using the appropriate tools for the job!

We'll use the China Cymbals to punctuate phrases, talk about different articulations, and to create exciting new sounds!
