My Students

My students always come to music eager to learn and experience music in new ways. They try to live out the motto of making the best version of themselves each class by the wonderful character traits music can teach a child.

The students at my school come from very diverse backgrounds from very low socio-economic to the affluent, different ethnic backgrounds, family lifestyles and learning abilities.

Despite their many differences they always work together to make wonderful music. They understand that to make this happen they must work together.

My Project

My students need contra bass bars to accompany many of their songs and compositions.

My students would really benefit from having Contra Bass Bar instruments for music class.

I see over 600 of my students once every six days. Every time I see my younger students, K-2nd grade, they beg me to please play the "Orff Instruments." As you can imagine, coming to music class and seeing a room full of wonderful Orff instruments but not being able to play them all at once as a class can be very frustrating!

Contra Bass Bars are a great way for younger students, and students with disabilities to be able to accompany the music that they make in a new and exciting way. Not only that, but older students benefit from Contra Bass Bars by being able to add a resonate bass line to their songs. This helps keep the ensemble together in time and on pitch. Furthermore, bass bars would create a more balanced sound for the ensemble, and allow more students to be able to play an instrument.

By adding a new instrument to our music room, my students will have more opportunities to play with different instruments and express themselves.
