My Project

Therapy through the arts! This is what I instantly thought of after spending the first week back together as a classroom family, I quickly noticed how the students needed time to process and heal from Hurricane Ian and its aftermath. They were given opportunities to draw things they wanted to share about, color some fall pictures and build a scarecrow.

As they were working they were chatting and laughing with each other.

You could see and feel the joy of being with their friends and teachers at school.

I would like to continue this feeling by creating opportunities for them to create seasonal projects all year long.
