My Project

Imagine a classroom where students with diverse learning needs use their creativity to craft beautiful products like soaps, candles, and crocheted items while applying STEM concepts. Through this project, we aim to empower special education students with practical skills that can lead to future career opportunities. By integrating STEM principles into crafting, students will explore chemistry, mathematics, and design in a hands-on, engaging way. This initiative not only enhances their academic understanding, but also builds their confidence and independence, preparing them for life beyond high school.

With your support, we can make this innovative program a reality by providing essential materials and tools.

My classroom consists of incredible high school students who face unique challenges in their learning journeys. Most are part of the Math 180 program, where they work diligently to build foundational skills in math, including linear and nonlinear functions, rates and ratios, and proportional relationships.
