Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

A school club has begun as a way to have students help our community dog shelter by raising money, raising awareness, and increasing volunteer numbers. By combining Financial Literacy skills, Resiliency education, and the visual arts, students will be able to create a non-profit business plan focused on selling their handmade crafts in an effort to reach a self-imposed monetary goal that will be donated to the local Humane Society.

Help us get the tools to begin this worthy cause!

Through creativity, hard work, and proper budget planning, students will make a difference to the lives of pets in shelters and find the value they can offer to their community. Students will hand-make polymer clay jewelry with pet themes and in school colors to sell. All profits will be donated to the Greater Miami Humane Society.
