My Students

My students are children with varying special needs. Their needs vary from other health impairment as specified by ADHD, ADD; Speech and Language Impairment; Autism; Intellectual Disabilities and Learning impaired. I work with my students in small groups up to a max of 8 to improve reading and math goals because they work better and receive more support in a smaller group.

In my classroom, learning takes place in a fun and exciting way as described by my students.

Students feel more confident when pulled out for small group support. They let their guard down and are open to making mistakes and receiving constructive criticism without a large audience. They often leave saying, that was much easier than I thought. In the right setting with the right supports students can succeed.

My Project

Now that we have a cricut machine and have been jazzing up our classroom door and bulletin boards we want to try some new things. There is so much we can do with the Cricut machine and we need more supplies to make that happen.

Can you say senior t-shirts, our school logo on t-shirts and face masks?

How about personalize ugly Christmas shirts? You name it the possibilities are endless. I can see my students coming up with a lot more things we can do with more materials and your support.
