Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I have learned a few strategies that have helped my students become better readers. Like many of us, they learn better when they can use different learning modalities.

With the resources from Secret Stories Cracking the Reading Code, my students will be better equipped to learn to read and retain the information they learned.

Secret Stories Cracking the Reading Code is a mnemonic tool I can use to help my students understand why the letters make the sounds they make. Having the cards posted, I can refer to them when I introduce spelling. I can use the flashcards in small groups, and the students can use the porta-pics at their desks while working on their writing assignments. I greatly appreciate any donation you give to my project to help my students crack the reading code.
