Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am a special education teacher, working with 11 creative, thoughtful, and talented learners. They love hands-on, engaging activities, and learning through songs to make connections. With Secret Stories, my students will be able to understand why letters make the sounds they do, using fun explanations!

Secret Stories is a brain-based approach to phonics that brings the study of words to life in an engaging and playful way that deepens learning and makes it stick.

Secret Stories will provide my students the logical explanations for letter sound behavior that their brains crave. These logical explanations are shared in the form of “secret” stories, which are the secret reasons why letters make all of the crazy sounds that they do when they get together in words. These materials will make a difference in my students' learning and decoding skills.
