This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

Imagine preparing for the AP Exam with no review book...doesn't seem fair, right? I teach an AP Psychology course in a city public school to 11th and 12th graders. We are a Title 1 school with over 90% of our students on a free/reduced lunch. The school has a focus on college readiness and planning for the future, providing AP courses whenever possible.

As I teach the AP Psychology course, my students only have the textbook and myself as a resource. In teaching this course, I find that if they have access to a review book, they are more likely to study throughout the year and take on practice questions for each unit. Unfortunately, my students are unable to purchase these review books themselves.

In order to facilitate effective study habits, I would like my students to have access to a review book in addition to their AP Psychology textbook. This will help them follow through the most important points in each chapter we study, as well as have access to practice questions. Having access to these materials will benefit my students in their quest for a 4 or 5 on the AP Exam to receive college credit.

You will make it possible for my students to have access to the proper study materials in preparing for the AP Exam and the ability to acquire a college credit. Scoring a 4 or 5 on the AP Exam will open the doors for most of my students to realize that college is a definite possibility, and starting off their college career with one credit is going in ahead of the game.
