My Project

My classroom library is our cozy, safe space where my students really enjoy curling up with a good book. I love reading stories on the carpet with them as it gives them a safe space to share their thoughts and feelings about a myriad of topics, and affords me an opportunity to guide them. They also enjoy completing work there and reading independently and with each other! Every book that is in my library is treated with love and care, and they are thankful for them all. These books have been chosen with my students in mind. I have watched them the past few weeks of school read titles just like these, and I have also asked them what type of books they would enjoy reading. Students will be able to choose books, which will help them continue to enjoy independent reading time.

These books will continue to enhance the print-rich classroom that I strive to create.

With these new books, my students will have a variety of books from which to choose that will allow them to increase their love of reading and, by extension, a love of learning.
