Cozy Up and Read

Help me give my students a light blue kid-sized sofa for our reading center to create a cozy spot where my Kindergarteners can fall in love with books!

My Project

Each year, as I prepare my classroom, I think about the new Kindergarten children that I will be welcoming into my class. I think about the educational journey that they are beginning and how special it is that I get to begin this journey with them.

When setting up my classroom, I try to create spaces where children can explore, wonder, grow and fall in love with learning!

My reading center is one of these spaces. I have books, lamps, twinkling lights and a nice rug. This space is almost perfect, except there isn't anything for the children to sit on. At this time, children visiting the reading center have to sit on the floor. The floor is uncomfortable, and children initially excited to visit the reading center do not stay there for long. The light blue Kids Club sofa that I am requesting will allow me to finish this special space. The Kids Club sofa will be a spot where my students can comfortably sit together, explore books and fall in love with reading!
