Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

As a Health Information Project advisor and Marine science teacher, I am deeply committed to fostering mental health awareness among my students. I believe in creating a safe, supportive environment where they can feel secure, not just academically but emotionally as well.

The rug and bean bags, along with speakers, and pens with stress relief coloring books will allow students to have an outlet for their school and extracurricular stressors aiding their mental health which is now becoming more and more overwhelming to students and mostly high school students who are in the verge of graduation.

Whether they need a moment to unwind between classes or simply want a comfortable space to have lunch, it is crucial that students have access to a place where they can share their feelings and feel at ease. This safe space promotes well-being, encourages open dialogue, and helps them recharge for their academic and personal challenges.
