My Students

The students in this school are from a very underprivileged area. They are dedicated to doing their best so they can go to college. They are all from low-income homes, and all receive free lunch and breakfast. They deserve the same opportunities as every other student. Donors Choose can help provide them with some of those opportunities that I cannot afford to provide them with on my own. These students are more than capable of anything they set their mind on!

My Project

This year I am lucky enough to have some really dedicated readers in my classroom. We are luckily enough to have been given lots of books for our library through Donors Choose and purchasing them myself. The students really enjoy being able to visit our classroom library and spread out all over the room and read!

This project will give the students a cozy spot to pull out a book and read.

They will be able to use the beanbag chairs in our library and focus mainly on reading. It will also give us a way to organize the books that we read in this class! We are working on life skills that will help us as we grow, and organization is one of the most important! The scanner will help us keep track of where all the books are going (through a website). The holders will help to show emphasis on books that are related to current affairs of the month!
