Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am requesting a new classroom rug for my students to have a clean and cozy area for them to sit on while learning. Currently, we have an old rug that we had inherited from previous teachers. The current rug is stained from years of use and starting to become tattered. The other alternative is to have students sit on the floor which is very hard and cold, especially during the winter.

Students deserve to have a comfortable meeting area for learning!

This new rug will be a game-changer for my class. Not only will students appreciate that it will be cleaner, but this rug will also be less stimulating. Our current rug has too many letters, numbers, and shapes which is overly distracting for my students, especially the students who have autism. The simpler rug design provides a clear and defined space for students to sit on so they can focus on their learning!
