My Project

This is my 15th year in the classroom, and the easel I began with is now on its last leg, literally! All the screws have fallen out, and it is showing its age. Our classroom rug is also in disarray. Its fraying and ripping. It just isn't the cozy, inviting space I would like it to be.

We use this space every day for Morning Meeting, our Knowledge portion of ELA, and small group math lessons.

We use the white board of the easel for these lessons, and more importantly, the easel holds up my big books! Our Knowledge portion of ELA is one of my favorite parts of the day. I read from a big flip book to teach about the world. We learn about Greek myths, the War of 1812, insects, the human body, immigration, and more! The kids love listening and learning on the rug during this time each morning.

Refreshing our classroom with these new items would be greatly appreciated! It's just a rug and an easel, but to us, this space opens up the world and brings us closer together. Thank you for your support!
