Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

In school, it is important to have children engage in conversations, share their thoughts and ideas, listen to others and engage in all different types of social interactions. In kindergarten, most of that happens during circle time/group time on the classroom carpet!

Circle time helps small group instruction, and builds social and emotional skills, what better place to meet than on the classroom carpet!?

With your donations we can get a new rug to accommodate our entire class. Our old rug was small and recently damaged due to flooding so it would mean so much to start the new school year with a brand new space. Please help in creating a safe space environment of trust and camaraderie with your donations today!
