My Project

My students are outstanding! They are the pilots, senators, teachers, and painters of the future. They are thoughtful, resilient, hard-working, and playful. We work so hard daily on math, reading, writing, science, and social studies and in two languages (we're a Spanish and English dual-language immersion classroom).

We have extensive and small goals, individual goals, and community goals.

About every month we identify a small, community goal and my students collect points for their hard work and apply it to their goal.

Our current goal is an epic hot chocolate party with marshmallows (I asked for vegan ones so that everyone can enjoy them, even my students who don't eat gelatin) and cozy read-aloud books (does it get any better than Corduroy or A Snowy Day?). I've also requested reusable cups so that we can enjoy more community success in the future.

I know that my students are going to love this hot chocolate party and will work really hard to earn it. Thank you for considering our project.
