Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students would love to have a cozy corner in order to enjoy our independent reading time in class.

By providing them with a fun reading rug and some inspirational pillows, they can have a place where they can be swept away by the imaginary worlds that they are reading about.

Students today are faced with so much pressure from mandated curriculums and assessments. It’s important that they still have some opportunities to explore what they enjoy. Independent reading provides just that. Providing a special place for them to partake in reading what they love would foster their love of reading.
