My Project

I wanted to provide some insight into why I chose a beanbag as a crucial addition to our cozy corner for students. The purpose of the beanbag is to create a comfortable and calming space where students can distress and return to their baseline, especially those facing sensory challenges.

The soft and moldable nature of the beanbag provides a sense of security and comfort for students, allowing them to relax and decompress during stressful moments.

The sensory input from the beanbag can help regulate their emotions and provide a soothing environment for them to reset. I believe that the beanbag will be a valuable tool in supporting my students' emotional well-being and enhancing their overall learning experience. I am also asking for a soft mood lamp, an Abilitations sensory kit, a UNO game, and a drape. All these items are essential for sensory support of my students. The lamp and drape will create a cozy corner for my students to de-compress. I plan to use the Abilitations Five Senses Sensory Kit to teach students how to self-regulate. The UNO game will be used as a reward.
