My Students

My students are smart, curious, creative, funny, hardworking, and friendly towards one another. My 18 students represent families all over the world, as well as a variety of learning levels. My school consists of over 1,000 students of diverse backgrounds. This can make teaching challenging because of the diverse learning abilities, but my students are always eager to learn. My students continually face obstacles head on and continually strive to do better. Their drive and passion for learning is amazing!

My Project

My students need exercise balls, a rug, a sweeper to clean the rug, and a cozy seating area to excel in the classroom. After completing several staff development trainings and observing my own students, it is evident now more than ever that students to need spread out and move in order to maximize learning.

Students work hard and collaborate with one another when given the opportunity to learn outside the traditional classroom box.

When students enter my classroom, I want them to feel welcome in an environment that gives them multiple opportunities to feel successful.

Some students work well in a traditional desk, but others need to move, spread out, and sometimes even stand to meeting learning goals. I feel having a cozy corner where students can create, collaborate, and learn together will create an environment that is conducive to learning!
