Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students love reading and really enjoy sharing and discussing the books they are reading with their classmates. I want to set up a space in our classroom where they can read comfortably and talk with their friends about the books they are currently reading. I envision this space to be a place where they could have discussions about the characters, problems/solutions and themes that are evident in the books they are reading. Also, I hope that this will inspire other students to want to pick up books they don't normally read and try a new genre because of the discussions they are having with their classmates about these books.
