My Project

I need your help creating a cozy space for my preschool students to communicate during speech therapy. I have requested a bean bag chair and soft floor cushions to make my therapy space more comfortable for my students. Comfortable seating will allow my students to better regulate and feel safe. When students are comfortable and feel a sense of security it will help them express their feelings and emotions.

Comfortable seating options and an augmentative and alternative communication device will help my students better express their emotions in a safe environment.

Many of my preschool students are non-speaking. I requested an iPad in which I will download augmentative and alternative communication programs. The iPad will give my students access to a high-tech voice generating device to help them communicate their wants and needs. The device allows them to ask for help, greet others, and participate in communicative interactions.
