Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I work with students with special needs. It is almost an everyday occurrence at this age for students to experience stress when separating from their parent

Giving my students a comforting space, will allow them to find comfort when separating from their loved ones.

This is a space that children can visit to soothe themselves. It will have an area rug , a comfortable seating area, comfort lighting and books. This space will allow them to regulate their emotions so that they can be ready to learn.

A cozy comfortable space allows students to have a corner in the classroom that they can visit when they are feeling sad , stressed or angry and need to decompress. This will allow students to take charge of their emotion, making them more independent.
