My Students

My third grade students come to school each day excited to learn. Learning is the main goal for these enthusiastic students. Our school is located in the heart of Nashua, New Hampshire, although we have a different demographic than some of the other inner city schools. Our neighborhood community respects education and holds high expectations for the children as does our school. A rug will allow us to create a classroom family, and grow together.

My Project

This classroom rug will be the center of all learning. It is a place to gather as a classroom community, at the beginning and end of each day. It will provide a central place for all students to collaborate as readers, writers, mathematicians and explorers of the world around us. The rug will be a vital part of all learning in my classroom. Students will gather here for instructional time as well as relax and read a good book. The learning is priceless and the memories here in this rug.
