Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are artistic and committed individuals that bring many assets to the classroom every day. They are sweet and inspiring teenagers that work hard, think critically, and are persistent.

My students also have special needs.

Forty percent of them have Special Needs, need an extra push to feel confident, and some of them require special accommodations.

My Project

Your donation will allow me create a small, homie cozy reading corner in the back of my room with two armchairs, one bookcase, a rug and a lamp.

This reading corner will be used by the students who need to find a quiet corner to work, take a break, get inspiration or collaborate with a partner.

Since my classroom is an old science lab that was built in 1926, and lab tables are inconvenient for group work, the space in the back of the room will be transformed into an unbelievable cozy area that will help students find my room inviting and homie.
