My Students

My 24 Kindergarteners are creative and thoughtful bundles of excitement! They are so excited to come back to our classroom and get to finally use manipulatives to help them learn. They love reading and listening to read aloud in class. At home, they use a free online book resource called Epic! and they've already listened to a combined 5,500+ books!

My Kindergarteners come from many different walks of life.

Some of my students have special needs, some are second language learners, some have Individual Education Plans, and some are from low-income families who qualify for free or reduced-price lunch.

My Project

I will be using the TPT gift card to purchase centers that I will print out and then laminate. When they are laminated, I can clean the materials easily and they last for a very long time. With the gift card, I can print enough centers to make sure each child gets their own set of materials for play-based learning.

Kindergarteners love to play, and play is the learning of children.

However, returning to the classroom in the era of the Pandemic has caused some troubles for our littlest learners. I hope to combat this with some individualized, easy-to-clean, learning centers!

The hot dots can be used for up to 4 children at a time. It gives them a sense of ownership over their learning because it can be done independently, and it is fun!
