My Students

I have a wonderful group of students who are full of life, energy, and a love of learning. We are a lower income, Title One school and many of my students have limited access to many opportunities and privileges.

My Project

Flexible seating options are wonderful for student focus and attention in the COVID impacted classroom. Students often have a hard time sitting still in their seats to focus on their work, especially in a socially distanced classroom with less opportunities for collaboration. Being able to fidget on these wobble cushions and stools, while staying seated helps students to be able to stay focused while still getting out excess energy. It will greatly enhance the learning and focus of my students, especially while they're not able to be in close collaboration with each other

Having nice headsets in our classroom will make a world of difference to my students in the creation of meaningful literacy projects in a socially distanced classroom.

COVID has greatly impacted the amount of time students spend on their individual Chromebooks. With these headsets, students will be able to listen to books, create responses, narrate their writing, and practice storytelling, in an engaging and socially distanced way. These headsets will be much more reliable than the headphones that break easily and have no microphones. They will greatly enrich the students learning in this way.
