Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are from a Title I school; we are located in a low-income neighborhood. They are eager to learn but lack the necessary supplies. School starts in August, and parents struggle to purchase supplies or even uniforms.

They come to school with hopes and dreams.

I want to enhance their dreams by increasing their knowledge. Fifth grade is a crossroads for my students as they are on their way to middle school. My students enjoy working on workstations.

My Project

In the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic, I have transitioned to online learning. We have class meetings online twice a week and daily assignments on the Microsoft TEAMS platform to continue our learning. However, not all of my students are able to participate because they do not have access to technology. With these tablets, my students will be able to participate and communicate with classmates.

Help me give my students the technology that they can use during distance learning.

Distance learning has obstacles for teachers and parents as well as students. Even a small donation will go a long way to provide my students with much-needed tools. My future students will also benefit from this technology to be used during workstations. We are asking for Amazon Fire tablets, cases, and screen protectors.
