Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My wonderful, vibrant students are from the South Bronx. They are future doctors, lawyers, teachers, etc. Many are from single parent households, and will be the first to graduate from high school in their families. Many qualify for free or reduced lunch, and therefore come from families that can not afford to purchase additional supplies.

They need cases for chromebooks.

As a way to ensure that each child has access to vital learning material, our school is lending each student in the 11th and 12th grade an 11" computer that they can use during the school day and take home for personal use. Students however, need a simple case to ensure they do not damage the chromebooks.

My Project

The school is using its own resources and has purchased Chromebooks for both the junior and senior class. In order to make our students more college ready, and foster an atmosphere of continued learning, it is essential that they have access to their class materials even outside of the school building. Our kids will be able to bring these chromebooks home and through the use of a Google Classroom, be able to access their classroom materials.

Students are apprehensive because they do not want to damage the books that are being loaned to them.

Through your generosity, a simple chromebook sleeve, can put a child's mind at ease.
