My Students

We are a female single-gender school that serves students from sixth to twelfth grades. We are located on the Northeast side of Atlanta. Our students typically come from high proverty communities with limited resources.

Our school serves as a second home for our students.

We attempt to provide students with social, academic, and emotional support. Attempting to provide a holistic support for our students, we hope they will be better prepared and equipped to excel academically. In order for our girls to excel academically, we must first meet their basic needs.

My Project

Due to the emotional, social and physical impact COVID-19 has on our students, especially pertaining to the postponement of the seniors' graduation and other memorable activities, they are in need of support with college supplies. Some of their parents are experiencing financial hardship because of layoffs and the shelter-in-place order. Providing sheet sets will lessen the load for parents financially.

Receiving sheets would be a small token of our appreciation to the Class of 2020 and give them a sense of comfort when they are at their post-secondary home away from home.

Initially, adjusting to virtual school and feeling overwhelmed, our seniors have sufficiently performed well and we are looking forward to a 100% graduation rate.
