My Project
My students are brilliant, they're different, and they all think differently! These young people see math problems differently and as a result they solve differently. Some of my students prefer to make models, others prefer to use equations, some prefer to use tangible objects, while others use a combination of all of these. Nonetheless, they each make sense of the problems and work towards solving them.
With these iPad resources, they will allow me to record varying student strategies to problems which can be utilized to ensure students have multiple ways to solve problems.
In addition to showing parents how we have solved in the classroom so they can support their child at home, and it will allow students to see a strategy that is more efficient and utilize it with the ability to rewind what was said or shown to ensure they fully understand and can use the strategy.
