Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are a group of enthusiastic third-graders who love to learn. I love how eager they are to explore new ideas and they have the initiative to take the lead.

The materials in this project will be used to effectively make an engaging, fun, and distraction-free environment where students can maximize their learning time to create life-long knowledge that they can apply in the real world.

The curtains will block the windows often causing distraction since we are by the blacktop and a lot of students are often visible from our classroom. The coat rack will be our students’ backpack rack which will be put at the back of the class so they can only access them when necessary to avoid noise and distraction. The storage bins will help organize our class library books and the caddy will help organize their materials such as pencils, markers, colored pencils, and highlighters which we always use for our instruction. The math games will also help engage the students more, specifically during differentiated instruction where they can independently develop their financial literacy skills through learning operations like multiplication and division. The carpet will be used to provide a comfortable library space where they can read in comfort. The lights will also help create a more relaxing environment where they would feel like they are in space as our class theme is space. All of these materials in this project will help create a learning space that’ll provide comfort and eliminate distraction which takes away student learning time.
