My Project

I teach an upper level math class at the school I am at and each student needs to have access to a graphing calculator. This calculator is used during class, on homework and during test taking. It is important that each student has access to a calculator as they are learning skills which will improve their opportunity to be successful on any future math AP Exam. Calculator efficiency can improve a student's confidence in succeeding on any exam. Graphing calculators are expensive so some students are unable to purchase them. Students who currently do not have a graphing calculator use their phone ,but phones are not allowed to be used on an AP Exam so those students will be using an unfamiliar device if they cannot afford to purchase a graphing calculator on their own before AP Exams. The addition of this technology update to my classroom would increase the amount of students using a proper device and help them gain needed practice time with a tool which will be imperative to success in the future.
