Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Students are facing a lot of challenges due to the past few years. We have seen an increase in students needing support working through their feelings. Students deserve a safe space to feel calm and help them work on practicing coping skills so they can be successful in school. This room will be used in many different ways such as daily practice, de-escalation strategies which give them a safe space to cope with their feelings and be supported. All students in the school will have an opportunity to use this space so it will help over 900 students!
