In my counseling classroom, I would like to create a calm space with two lounge chairs for my students. The lounge chairs in the quiet space will allow them to sit and destress when needed. When seeing students, it is important to ensure that students social emotional needs are met in every way possible. Destressing is a great coping skill that they are learning, and it will help them to return to learning with a minimal disruption to themselves or others. Please assist me in providing a safe place for my students!
