As a school counselor, I have the privilege of working with students from diverse backgrounds who are navigating various challenges in their personal and academic lives. One of my primary goals is to help them build positive social connections, manage emotions, and feel supported in a safe environment.
To achieve this, I would love to have a variety of engaging, inclusive games and sensory tools that encourage communication, teamwork, and self-regulation and create a calming corner for students
Many of the students I work with struggle with anxiety, self-esteem, and social skills, which can make it difficult for them to connect with peers. By providing access to fun, hands-on activities, we can create a space where students feel comfortable expressing themselves, practicing turn-taking, and developing healthy relationships. Games and sensory toys can help facilitate meaningful interactions, support emotional regulation, and promote a sense of belonging among students.
