My Project

Making students feel welcomed and invited into the counseling office is so important for helping them feel comfortable enough to share their feelings and problems with me. Sitting on a couch versus hard chairs can also potentially make students feel safer and calmer with me. I also want to make students feel encouraged and inspired through their environment by showcasing the positive phrases that are on the throw pillows and poster. Seeing examples of positive self talk can be very good for showing them what it looks like and how easy it is for them too.
