I really appreciate your considering my project. Last year, I began a teaching career and I am in need of copy supplies. I teach sociology and economics and we are given a classroom copy of textbooks for the students to share in class. We are provided with a limited budget which includes one box of copy paper each quarter. Students learn differently and benefit from a variety of methods to learn their coursework. We post all of the curriculum online; however, many students ask for a paper copy of assignments and not all my students have access to a printer at home. To remain environmentally friendly I print out a classroom copy to share; however, any student that requests a personal copy to highlight information is provided with one for their personal use. Last year, I used over 2 boxes of copy paper each quarter and 6 toner cartridges during the year.
I open up my classroom during lunch time for students to have a quiet, safe place to eat lunch and often am asked during lunch to print out assignments or projects for them from other classes.
Having the extra paper and toner allows me to offer printing services to my students during lunch time. Many students are also part of clubs and need help printing out materials for the clubs they participate in.
I have a diverse group of students that are appreciative of being able to get printed assignments for them in my class.
