This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
Education has changed drastically over the years but one thing remains constant: the need for paper in the classroom. I teach science in my district's junior high. We are a low-income, rural district in southwest Mississippi. The money that teachers receive each year for supplies is extremely limited.
What I need is a ready supply of plain white copy paper for my classroom. I have a great copier - thanks to wonderful donors like you - but lack the funds to purchase enough paper to fill the needs of my students for the year.
What I am asking for is a supply of copy paper on which I can print the various tests, projects, reports, notes, diagrams, drawings, etc., that are the heart of any classroom. Your generous contribution toward funding my proposal will make it possible for me to provide my students with the quality of education that they desire.
Thank you, Dear Donor, for considering my proposal and lending a helping hand to some great kids in the rural South.
