Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

The students in my class are special education students who are excited to learn. My students all experience significant learning challenges. My students thrive when they have colorful and stimulating materials and copies to work with. They work so well with engaging visual supports!

My Project

Our school is located in an underprivileged neighborhood in Queens, NY. The school does not have color printers, and, very often does not have a working printer available at all.

My young special education students need stimulating color copies of their work in order to access the curriculum properly.

The printer will be used to make copies of their handwriting practice, color code reading passages, and math practice. Color copies will help me modify their materials to help them access grade-level curriculum.

My students are motivated to learn when they have engaging and colorful work. They love to have Copied in Living Color!
