Cool Strategies to Handle Big Feelings

Help me give my students new resources to support their social-emotional learning. The sensory items will be wonderful tools to help teach self-regulation and mindfulness skills to young learners.

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

This project is special to the students of my school because these SEL materials like the Crayola Toddler Touch Lights, Musical Doodle & Sensory Board, will be used to teach young students self-regulation and mindfulness skills. We all have big feelings sometimes and learning to express and manage these emotions in a healthy way is a vital life skill. To be able to focus on learning their ABCs, our little ones need to be able to access sensory items that teach self-regulation strategies. I will use these materials to create mindfulness areas that students can access. I will also use the materials to directly teach students about feelings management strategies.
