This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Urban schools in underfunded districts often leave the look and feel of class environments to the side. We all know how powerful a welcoming, comfortable learning environment impacts how students feel in a classroom.

Please help me to make our classroom an environment fit for learning.

We hope to get a portable air conditioner to cool our room down and make the learning environment more inhabitable. Our windows only partially open and unfortunately the students feel the burden of the discomfort when they're being asked to learn in a hot room. With the generosity of donors, we can make a space that students are excited to come to and that is an environment fit for learning.
