it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
How do you concentrate when it's so hot and there is no AC? My students find it hard to concentrate in the classroom when summer weather comes along. They find themselves sitting in a hot, humid classroom with minimal air circulation due to small or minimal windows.
I am currently a middle school grade English Language Arts teacher for special education students.
I teach in a high needs New York City middle school. The focus of my classroom is to create lifelong learners. My students all don't only have special needs, but they are English Language Learners and have very diverse needs due to their disabilities. My classroom would benefit from fans to cool off our VERY warm classroom.
My Project
My students struggle to focus due to their disabilities, and the hot weather makes it even harder to stay on task. With the help of fans in our classroom, we could take the edge off the heat and boost our learning. These fans would help my students cool off after recess and physical education and get them ready to learn again.
My students would benefit greatly from these fans.
They will be much more comfortable in the classroom and better able to focus and learn. Fans will allow the air to circulate freely throughout the classroom. Students will not become frustrated or disengaged because of the heat. These diverse students will be able to grow with this spark for learning!
