My Students

I have the most amazing class of fifth graders. They are hard workers with a variety of backgrounds. We strive to build our class into a community of caring individuals. We live in a bedroom community to a larger city.

Critical thinking is a goal for our students this year.

Having the opportunity to explore new STEM activities will create the thinkers that will grow into adults that will think broadly. With technology changing as quickly as it does we are educating students to think like scientist and engineers to be prepared for the jobs that will be created in the future.

My Project

Our students are living in a world where technology is all around them. They will have jobs that have not even been invented yet. Students need to be exposed to opportunities that allow the to see how technology is created and used.

They need to see the transition between school and real world applications.

By having a real world activity that will encourage them to try, fail, try again. I can also introduce students to life skills like perseverance, failing, trying again and adapt and resiliency . Using the Shero robots we can create thinkers and workers of the next generation.
