This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

In our fast-paced educational environment, emotional well-being is crucial for student success. The Cool, Calm and Collected: Creating a Calming Circle project aims to establish a dedicated calming space within my class where students can take a moment to breathe, reflect, and process their emotions before entering the computer lab.

This calming circle will provide a safe and supportive environment for students, especially those who may face various challenges in their daily lives.

By incorporating calming tools such as board games, stress-relief resources, and comfortable seating, we will create an inviting atmosphere that encourages self-regulation and emotional awareness.

Through this project, students will learn essential coping strategies to manage their feelings, reducing anxiety and promoting a positive mindset. This proactive approach will not only enhance their emotional resilience but also improve their focus and engagement in the classroom.

Your support will play a vital role in helping us create this calming circle, fostering a sense of safety and belonging among our students. Together, we can empower them to become more cool, calm, and collected, setting the foundation for their academic and personal success. Thank you for considering our project!
