My Project

After years of wear and tear, several of our high-use dramatic play pieces saw their last school year. The dramatic play center, which students fondly call the kitchen, is the most popular center in our classroom and is full of 4-5 students every day. Not only do students get to act out everyday scenarios they are familiar with, but they also get an opportunity to engage in conversation and relationship-building with their peers.

These materials will give students the opportunity to act out preparing a meal and eating a meal with their peers, while also building their social skills.

The cleaning set will let students pretend to mop and sweep up the kitchen. The vacuum will let students pretend to vacuum the kitchen rugs. The serve it dish set will allow students to set the kitchen table and put their food on. The toaster and kettle will let them prepare breakfast with tea if they choose.
